Özet:

The aspect of contemporary Turkish literatures developing in the Balkans, which touches on social issues, has been strong since its early days. One of the important issues that can be evaluated in this context is the position of women in society and how this is perceived by women. In this study, the texts in 9 poetry books of recent Turkish women poets in Kardzhali, where Turks live intensely in Bulgaria, are centered. The poems in the sample pool were examined in the context of Elain Showalters Theory of Womens Criticism Jinocriticism, which is also a contemporary feminist criticism theory. In the works focused on in our study, themes such as the tragic feelings of women about the loss of family members, the glorification of the family and religion, love poems, the poets feelings and thoughts about life and the future, their efforts to get rid of pain and addictions have gained weight and can therefore be examined in the context of Showalters theory of criticism. Both the remarkable concentration of women in poetry in a local Turkish literature in the Balkans and the evaluation of these literary products in the context of a contemporary feminist theory reveal important findings about the original value of the movement in question. In this study, the place of the poetry movement in the related field in the history of literature has been determined as a case and a general evaluation of the woman-centered literary movement in question with Showalters feminist literary criticism model has been made.
