Özet:

The impact of the Companions, as the first narrators of the hadith in terms of the science of hadith, is undeniable. Living in the same era as the Prophet Pbuh and being the generation that received hadith directly from the source make studying the Companions essential. Consequently, many Works have been dedicated to introducing the Companions. However, while some Companions gained prominence through their narrations, others remained less visible in this field. Among the factors influencing this situation are living in cities far from Medina and being occupied with daily tasks. Therefor, it is significant to introduce Companions who passed away in foreign lands and had fewer hadiths attributed to them. Abu Shayba al-Khudri, the subject of this research, falls into this category. Despite narrating only one hadith, his participation in the Istanbul campaing and the existence oh his tomb in Istanbul motivated us to undertake this study. Although no previous study has been conducted specifically on Abu Shayba al-Khudri, limited information about him can be found in works on the tombs of Companions in Istanbul. This research will introduce Abu Shayba al-Khudri and assess the single hadith narrated by him in terms of its isnad and text. The study will also involve a review of tabaqat, historical and rijal sources that provide information about the Companions. Additionally, Abu Shayba al-Khudris participation in the Istanbul campaign, his status as a narrator of only one hadith, and the early transmission of his hadith to numerous Companions, reaching the level of mutawatir are notable aspects of his story. In this context, both the historical role of the Companion and the content of his narration constitute the primary research focus.

Rivayet usûlü açısından hadisleri ilk nakleden konumunda olan sahâbenin etkisi tartışmasızdır. Hz.
