Özet:

Ömer F. Oyal is a writer who aims to write with moves aimed at providing, in his own words, the intangible, invisible real harvest of human daily life. He prefers to focus on specific moments and a structure characterized by the words jump or zigzag between past and present, rather than a chronological flow. Oyal believes that mans tendency to review the past at important junctions of his life stems from the fact that the present is a fruit of the past. In his novel Magda Döndüğünde, he wants to determine, to the extent of the possibilities provided by the novel, the real harvest of the aging days flowing between the past and present of a man in the aging phase, which is the last crossroads of life. In this study, the issue of how the state of aging is handled in the personality of the main hero in Ömer F. Oyals novel Magda Döndüğünde is centered. The main hero in the work, Salih Beys self, is shapedchanged by the results of aging in his aging; and his perception of the young Salih in his past, whom he had to look at again from the perspective of these days, will be examined. The memories that Salih Bey ignored by imprisoning them in a bottomless pit; the tolerance of the flexible days of aging or the search for occupation invaded this old mans solitary world like overflowing from Pandoras box. In the novel, the difficulties experienced by the hero who has to struggle with the biological, psychological and physical changes of aging, what kind of damage these difficulties cause in his spiritual structure, the nature of the symptoms such as withdrawal from social life and the desire to isolate himself, the social prejudices and acceptances about aging, Salih Bey It will be shown how it reconstructs perception frequencies based on doubt. How the hero interprets the mistakes he made in the past in his aging, what kind of spiritual chaos the failure to atone for the regrets he experiences creates; It will be determined to what extent their social relationships, including family members, have been damaged; It will be determined how the struggle strategy, which is the common denominator of all of these, caused a rapid erosion in Salih Beys mental and physical health - despite all his determined attitude. The protagonist, Salih Bey, is at a stage where atonement for the past has become impossible; the tragic consequences of trying to make up for the past with a desire for purification will be determined. Keywords: Ömer F. Oyal, Magda Döndüğünde, aging, past, loneliness.
