Özet:

Time is a concept that is formed by the mobility of the celestial bodies and becomes evident with the clock by people, and this notion has been evaluated in various ways by philosophers. One of these evaluations is given as the concept of religion. However, it is known that it is not handled only in this way. Evening time, which is a slice of the concept of time that keeps the philosophers intensely occupied, has influenced many poets, especially Ahmet Haşim, in our contemporary Turkish poetry. Hilmi Yavuz, one of the living representatives of modern Turkish poetry, on which Ahmet Haşim had an influence, wrote poems on the concept of evening as well as on many subjects. There is even a separate poetry book called Evening Poems. These poems are composed of three sections with seven poems in each. All three sections have 21 poems in total, all about evening. They have been used in various ways, sometimes with affirmation but mostly with negation. Sadness is also clearly seen in the Evening Poems of Hilmi Yavuz, who is also known as the poet of sadness and uses the theme of sadness prominently in many of his poems. In this study, Evening Poems is examined under three headings. The first section deals with sadness and evening. The second section deals with death and evening, and the third one deals with love, lover, and evening. For this study, all of Hilmi Yavuzs poems about the evening were scanned, but due to the necessity of limiting, only some of these poems were taken as a sample and the evening perception of the poet was tried to be given by analyzing. In addition, when looking at the poems in general, it has been determined that Yavuz draws attention to some issues such as punctuation, exclamation and ellipsis, word games, using the room element in many of his poems, using the concept of summer a lot, the prominence of the geranium flower, referring to the heroes of the novel, and some poets and poems. They have been tried to be shown with examples.
