Municipal librarianship in Turkey is undergoing a process of change and development. Although this process points to certain requirements policy, law, etc., important works are also being done to serve the local community. While the librarianship activities of municipalities are discussed from many different perspectives in the literature, it is inevitable to say that municipal librarianship is a reality in Turkey. In this context, focusing on good examples and drawing attention to how municipal librarianship should be with detailed analysis will be guiding for the future process. This research was conducted within the scope of 14 libraries of Ankara Altındağ Municipality, which stands out with its services and the value it adds to librarianship. The main purpose of the research is to analyze the Altındağ Municipality libraries in terms of staff, users, collection, building and services, to draw attention to the differences, positive and negative aspects, and to develop suggestions that will shed light on the future by evaluating the past and present of the libraries. A descriptive research was conducted within the scope of document scanning and content analysis techniques. As a result of the research, it was revealed that Altındağ Municipality libraries have deficiencies in issues such as collection, vocationally trained stafflibrarian, and physical space, and suggestions were developed to overcome the deficiencies. The suggestions developed are important for Altındağ Municipal libraries to ensure institutional continuity and provide a healthier direction for the future.
