Özet:

Mining is one of the important business lines in the world and in our country. Various physical risk factors arise during mining activities. One of these physical risk factors is noise. Depending on the development of technology, the processes of transition to mechanization in underground mining have accelerated and this has caused the working personnel to be faced with high noise levels. Noise has many physiological and psychological effects on people. One of these is hearing loss, which is an occupational disease. In this study, job descriptions of different occupational groups in underground coal mining were made and the noise levels that the personnel working in these occupational groups were exposed to were determined. The noise measurements made were evaluated within the scope of the noise regulation and the precautions and measures that could be taken against noise were explained.
