Özet:

Form and content, which have established themselves as significant topics of debate within the framework of art and design, open the door to various interpretations in light of contemporary technologies. The form-content relationship constitutes a central element of art and design, and the recent inclusion of artificial intelligence technologies in this equation raises several questions. Particularly, the proliferation and popularization of AI-based visual productions on the internet in the last quarter of 2022 bring forth issues related to the role of the artistdesigner. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the relationship between form and content through the visual outputs generated by experiencing the AI-based visual production process and to question the users control over artificial intelligence. In this context, a literature review was conducted to sufficiently understand the working principles of AI systems capable of generating images. Additionally, the functions of parameters within relevant software were tested, and their effects on the outcome were observed. The research concluded that for the desired image to be generated, a text input that is accurately composed and comprehensible by the algorithm is necessary. While closely accurate results can sometimes be achieved, it was noted that realizing the design in ones mind solely with AI support is not easy. The form and content of the visual vary according to the details in the text input. Content often changes during the visual production process due to the influence of the AI algorithm, potentially leading the user in different directions. In this context, it can be stated that achieving full control in the form-content relationship is not possible, as AI acts as a co-creator in the production process.
