Özet:

In this article, based on the claim that capitalist production and consumption processes are based on the regulation of human experiences, especially the regulation of sleep, which is related to rest time, the current phase of sleepless humansubject construction has been examined through specific examples from the 20th century to the present. In the article, the Sleep Institute design of Russian architect and painter Konstantin Melnikov is examined to show how sleep and rest time is used to increase the efficiency of work and production. In our world today, there is an infrastructure for capitalist trade flows and work-consumption relations that operate continuously in 247 temporality; Now our claim is that conforms to these flows and relationships; It is desired to create new subjects who can produce and consume 247 without sleeping. The prominent features of these new subjects are that they are subjects who can sacrifice their sleep for more earnings, success and work. In the context of these features, these subjects are described as sleepless subjects. In the article, sleep technologies is a unique concept to explain the body technologies used by the government to control sleep. Conceptualization has been produced. Sleep technologies have been internalized by capitalism and pharmaceutical industry were discussed under different headings. The aim of the article is to redraw the boundaries of human life, which have become blurred with the intensification of technology and capitalist production-consumption processes, through sleep, one of the common and vital experiences of humans. In this study, sleep is considered as a political issue to be used against body technologies that aim to bring us closer to human-machine interaction, and it is tried to be re-read as a political issue through its place in the historical process and its relationship with the power mechanisms that want to control the body. Based on the claim that defending sleep as the personal is political cannot achieve anything today, in the conclusion of the article, a new thesis is proposed as the impersonal is the personality instead of the thesis the personal is political, which has been internalized by capitalism and become the sales slogan of large companies.
