Özet:

Globalization and subsequent economic growth gaining importance in increasing competitiveness among countries have led to the frequent examination of unemployment rates, which are among the providers of economic growth, within the literature. The fact that unemployment rates do not return to previous levels after a political or economic shock can be explained by the existence of the hysteria effectThe existence of the hysterical effect will be investigated especially in Greece and Turkey in this study, with the evaluation taking into account both gender and the entire population. The research, which looked at unemployment rates between 1988 and 2021, employed the Fourier ADF unit root testThe subjects significance in the literature is explained by the detrimental effects of unemployment hysteria on the economy and its disruptive effects on social stability, and the studys analysis approach indicates that it will add to the body of knowledge. The studys findings indicated that socio-political laws should be implemented to reduce unemployment rates and that there was a hysterical impact in Greece and Turkey.
