Özet:

Tripolis is settled on fertile land and is located on important trade routes in the region between Lydia, Caria and Phrygia. The city of Tripolis lived through its most glorious years during the Roman Empire Age. The geography it is in is a very convenient location for city building. As a result of excavations and survey examination trips made in the Tripolis necropolis areas in 2007- 2009 revealed that Necropolis areas spread on the slopes just below the hill called Değirmentepe or Kaletepe seven rock-cut-tombs and two travertine sarcophagi in the Eastern Necropolis are divided into three areas, which are called North, East and West necropolis areas. This area separation is entirely due to the topographic situation. The 6th rock tomb in the eastern necropolis is the subject of this article. Since the archaeological excavation was carried out, numerous finds were discovered. There is a dromos at the entrance of th grave. The room is entered from a door with a rectangular entrance. There is a dead bed for six people in the rock-cut tomb. There are two dead beds on the right and on the left the entrance in the room and arcosolium opposite entrance There is also a thin long corridor between the entrance and arcosolium There is an arcosolium opposite of entrance, on the left and on the right of the entrance This grave is a rock tomb that is common in Anatolia. The earliest find in Tripolis necropoleis was unearthed here. This detail is important for the history of Tripolis. It is estimated that all grave types belong to people with moderate economic status, because they were made extremely unadorned. Finally, the 6th rock-tomb has been used continuously from the 1st century BC to the second half of the 6th century AD.

6 no.lu kaya mezarı MÖ 1. yüzyıldan MS 6. yüzyılın ikinci yarısına kadar sürekli kullanılmıştır.
