Özet:

The proclamation of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy is a significant event in recent Turkish history. With the declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy on July 23, 1908, the Ottoman Parliament, which was closed indefinitely by Abdulhamid II in 1877, was reinstated. This ended the era of tyranny and ushered in an atmosphere of freedom, which had a profound impact, particularly in the press world. Following the proclamation of the Constitutional Monarchy, newspapers and magazines heavily criticized the preceding era and concurrently, they extolled the soldiers who had rebelled against the reign of Abdulhamid II. and the Committee of Union and Progress. This pivotal political event and the societal changes that ensued also influenced literature. Many plays and novels written during this period centered around the theme of the declaration of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy. Prominent poets such as Tevfik Fikret, Ahmet Hâşim, Mehmet Akif, Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem, and Ali Ekrem, who were influential figures of that time, lauded the champions of freedom and reckoned with the Abdulhamid period in their poetry. Ayanzâde Namık Ekrem is among these poets. As an educator, the poet celebrated the proclamation of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy in his poems and emphasized the necessity of working towards a better future. In this article, the themes in Ayanzâde Namık Ekrems poems will be examined, and the concepts and emotions expressed in Turkish poetry after the declaration of the 2nd Constitutional Monarchy will be illuminated with new examples.

II. Meşrutiyetin ilanı, yakın dönem Türk tarihinin önemli olaylarından biridir. 23 Temmuz 1908de ilan edilen Meşrutiyet sayesinde 1877de Sultan II.
