Özet:

This research aims to reveal the negative relationship between deviant leisure time and quality of life and the relationship between addiction to playing digital games as a tolerable deviant leisure activity and deviance. By addressing the phenomenon of deviant leisure via the metaphor of the dark side the research aims to touch upon its positive and negative aspects and to reveal behind-the-scenes features. Findings suggested that there was a significant relationship between the frequency of playing digital games and lack of leisure time. According to the research, the increase in time spent in front of the computer combined with the effects of the pandemic emerges as another factor triggering digital game addiction.
