Özet:

Social influence, political clout, and economic penetration of Muslims in Andalusia have gradually increased by the conquests since 92711 years. This circumstance discomforted some of the Christian circles who lived there before the conquest. The religious groups who could not accept living under the hegemony of the Muslim dominance occasionally revolted against the dominance. Opponents of Islam in the capital city, Cordoba, started to be organized under the leadership of Eulogio and Alfaro. However, Eulogio was one step ahead of Alfaro in terms of leadership. Eulogio tried to fire the Islamophobia of young Christians by misinforming them about Islam. Eulogio, who succeeded took the opportunity to openly reveal his activities by means of being executed as Christian because of the defamation of an Islamic holy. After this incident, young people, whom Eulogio had previously raised with Islamophobia, started street protests. Those youth continued to revile at holies of Islam although knowing that they would be executed. Initially, the death penalty was not imposed on them. However, these young people continued to insult Islam even in front of the judge. As a result, strict measures were taken and death penalties were imposed. However, the application of death penalties paved the way for this rebellion to flare up rather than suppressing it. This situation remained on the agenda of the citizens in Cordoba for a long time. Years later, after Eulogio and his followers were sent to different cities from Cordoba, the events gradually faded away. Much as the suicide movement that is called as self-murder cases in Islamic and Western sources appears like the rebellion attempts to target the Cordoba government, it can be evaluated as an appearance of the İslamofobi in Andalusia. However, this hostility has come to light as Reconquista that targets to wipe off the Muslims from Andalusia territories. This article will review the emergence of suicide movement activities about it. This article will also analyze how this movement is over. There will be a short evaluation of the relationship of the movement with Islam in the conclusion part.
