 Objective: This study was conducted to determine the level of knowledge about the COVID-19 pandemic among health vocational high school students going into clinical practice. Method: This study is a cross-sectional descriptive study. The study was conducted with health vocational high school students who continued clinical practice in a public hospital in Adana province in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. In the study, the entire population was included in the sample and all students were reached n192. The data collection form was created by the researchers by reviewing the literature. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation values were used in the evaluation of the data. Results: It was determined that 70.8 of the students who participated in the study were female. Among them, 59.9 were studying health care technician, 22.9 were in nurse assistant, and 17.2 were in midwife assistant departments. The majority of the students had not had COVID-19 91.1, 53.6 had been vaccinated, and 46.4 did not want to be vaccinated. The areas where students had high levels of knowledge were symptoms and signs, hygiene and precautions, and quarantine isolation. In contrast, areas with lower knowledge levels included the nature of COVID-19 and misconceptions about vaccinations. The most common misconceptions were related to the use of antibiotics for the disease, positive swab results, and treatment. Conclusion: Health vocational high school students generally possess a good level of knowledge regarding COVID-19 symptoms, hygiene measures, and preventive precautions. However, they hold significant misconceptions about the nature of COVID-19, treatment methods, and vaccines.

 Amaç: Bu araştırma, klinik uygulamaya çıkan sağlık meslek lisesi öğrencilerinin COVID-19 pandemisi ile ilgili bilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Bu araştırma kesitsel tanımlayıcı tiptedir. Araştırma Adana ilinde bir devlet hastanesinde 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde klinik uygulamaya devam eden sağlık meslek lisesi öğrencileri ile gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmeyerek, evrenin tamamı örnekleme alındı ve tüm öğrencilere ulaşıldı n192. Veri toplama formu araştırmacılar tarafından literatür taranarak oluşturuldu. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde frekans, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma değerleri kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin 70,8i kadın olduğu belirlendi. Öğrencilerin 59,9u sağlık bakım teknisyenliği, 22,9u hemşire yardımcılığı ve 17,2si ise ebe yardımcılığı bölümünde eğitim görmektedir. Öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun COVİD-19 geçirmediği 91,1, 53,6sının aşı yaptırdığı ve 46,4ünün aşı yaptırmak istemediği tespit edildi. Öğrencilerin bilgi seviyesinin yüksek olduğu alanlar; semptomlar ve belirtiler, hijyen ve önlemler, karantina izolasyonu iken; düşük bilgi seviyesine sahip oldukları alanlar; COVİD-19un doğası ve aşılar hakkındaki yanlış algılarıdır. Yanlış bilgi ve yanlış algıların en yoğun görüldüğü konular ise antibiyotik kullanımının hastalık üzerindeki etkisi; pozitif sürüntü sonuçları ve tedavisi şeklinde olduğu saptandı. Sonuç: Sağlık meslek lisesinde eğitim gören öğrencilerin COVID-19 semptomları, hijyen önlemleri ve koruyucu tedbirler konusunda genel olarak iyi bilgi düzeyine sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, COVID-19un doğası, tedavi yöntemleri ve aşılar ile ilgili önemli yanlış algılar taşıdıkları tespit edildi.
