Özet:

Ahmet Mithat, one of the important authors of Turkish literature, has given works in many fields and has been criticized in his period and literary history reviews in terms of the variety of works. The fact that the author, who has produced a wide range of works from fiction to the history of religions, is one of the founding names of the new literature, the necessity of forming the reader himself makes this situation easier to understand. However, considering that the author is not only a literary artist, but also publishes one of the important newspapers of the Turkish press for years, the issue becomes more understandable. Especially during this period when the tradition of interpretation was strong, the author also published some of the works in the form of books after he had copyrighted in his newspaper. One of these works, published at 1890, was Thirty Thousand Buddishts in Paris. The work written based on the news about Buddhism published in Paris newspapers, although it is mainly about the history of religions, provided an important opportunity for the author to give answers to the important problems of the agenda and accusations about East-West, Islam-Christianity and Islam. The artist, who offers interesting information to his reader at the prelude (medhal) of the work, tries to reveal the view of the religion of Islam on this subject after he gives information about Buddhism and Eastern religions in the later parts of the work. The author writes this work, especially by using the information provided by Western scientists about Far Eastern religions. In the work consisting of thirteen chapters, the author gives information about the Far Eastern religions and then compares these religions with Christianity and Islam. In this study, the work mentioned by the author and the ideas he put forward will be examined from different aspects and the work will be introduced.

On üç bölümden meydana gelen eserde yazar, Uzak Doğu dinleriyle ilgili bilgiler verdikten sonra bu dinleri Hristiyanlık ve İslamiyet’le karşılaştırır. Bu çalışmada yazarın adı geçen eseri ve ileri sürdüğü fikirler değişik yönlerden incelenmeye, eser tanıtılmaya çalışılacaktır.
