Özet:

Migration is a concept that has been intertwined with many different disciplines and has existed throughout history. Although it is a situation that all humanity does not deny, there is no clear definition agreed on yet. Turkey is a country that has been exposed to intense mass migration throughout history. Migration movements, which had a significant impact on many policies, especially from the last period of the Ottoman Empire to the present, prevented a clear stance on immigration policies and institutionalization. This has had a negative impact on institutionalization and setting a clear policy. In our study, local migration management will be discussed in general within the migration management structure of Turkey today, and the deficiencies in this field will be emphasized and suggestions will be made in the context of the Syrian migration wave. The reason why this study is important is that there is no study on local migration management in the literature. Our study, which was put forward by using the literature review method, benefited from primary sources.
