 The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to examine the effects of the teaching materials created with a scenario-supported game-based learning approach on the subjects of Support and Movement System, Respiratory System and Excretory System belonging to the Systems in Our Body unit of Science course, on the conceptual understanding and opinions of the students who are studying at the 6th grade of secondary school. The study group of the research consists of a total of 36 20 experimental and 16 control groups 6th grade students studying in a secondary school in the city center of Giresun in the 2022-2023 academic year. Mixed research method was used in the research. In the teaching process, the lessons were taught in the experimental group in line with the scenario-supported game-based learning approach, and in the control group, the approachmethodstechniques stipulated by the Ministry of National Education and specified in the science curriculum. Two-stage Systems in Our Body concept test, semi-structured interview questions for teaching intervention and worksheets were used as data collection tools. Concept test was applied to the experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test. Mann-Whitney U test, which is one of the nonparametric statistical techniques, was used for the pairwise comparison between the pre- and post-test scores of the experimental and control groups. Content analysis of the semi-structured interview questions and worksheets used to collect qualitative data in the research was conducted. The findings showed that the guide materials applied to the experimental group contributed more to increasing the conceptual understanding of the students compared to the existing teaching materials applied to the control group.

 Bu araştırmanın amacı; Destek ve Hareket Sistemi, Solunum Sitemi ve Boşaltım Sistemi konularında senaryo destekli oyun tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımıyla oluşturulmuş öğretim materyallerinin, ortaokul 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin kavramsal anlamalarına etkisini ve öğrencilerin derse yönelik görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Giresun il merkezinde yer alan bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören toplam 36 6. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğretim sürecinde deney grubuna dersler senaryo destekli oyun tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımı doğrultusunda kontrol grubunda ise Milli Eğitim Bakanlığının öngördüğü ve fen bilimleri dersi öğretim programında belirtilen yaklaşımyöntemtekniklerle işlenmiştir. Veri toplama araçları olarak iki aşamalı Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler kavram testi, öğretim müdahalesine yönelik yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları ve çalışma yapraklarının sonunda yer alan sorular kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel veriler istatistiksel olarak analiz edilirken, nitel veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Kavram testinden elde bulgular deney grubuna uygulanan rehber materyallerin kontrol grubuna uygulanan mevcut öğretim materyallerine göre öğrencilerin kavramsal anlamalarını arttırmada ve alternatif kavramlarını azalmada daha fazla katkı sağladığını göstermiştir. Araştırmada öğrenci görüşlerinden, senaryo destekli oyun tabanlı öğrenme yaklaşımı doğrultusunda hazırlanan etkinliklerin kolay ve kalıcı öğrenmeyi, aktif katılımı ve eğlenerek öğrenmeyi sağladığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca etkinliklerin rekabeti sağlayarak öğrencilerin heyecan duymalarını sağladığı ve oyunların konuları günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirmelerine katkı sağladığı sonuçlarına da ulaşılmıştır.
