Özet:

This study examines the evolution of Sufi culture and music in major tariqas and tekkes in Manisa from the Ottoman Empire to the present day. Tariqas became a significant religious and social phenomenon in the Ottoman Empire, particularly from the 14th century onward, influencing both individual spiritual development and the broader social structure. Manisa emerged as an important Sufi center under the influence of various tariqas, including Mevleviyya, Rifaiyya, Qadiriyya, Uşşakiyya, Khalwatiyya, Naqshbandiyya, Alevi-Bektashiyya, and Bayramiyya. The tekkes established in this city played a crucial role in shaping religious and cultural life. The development of Sufi music and rituals performed in the tariqas and tekkes of Manisa during the Ottoman period has been preserved and transmitted to the present day through figures such as Ahmed Âlim Efendi, Ahmed Esad Efendi, Naim Kaya, and Hüseyin Köroğlu. These individuals sustained this culture through Sufi music and poetry, ensuring its transmission to future generations and maintaining the Sufi atmosphere of Manisa. Today, Sufi culture in Manisa continues to thrive, preserving its traditional elements while also being enriched by modern musical and academic approaches. Venues such as the Manisa Mevlevihane, Entekkeliler Tekke, and Cemevis play a significant role in the transmission of this cultural heritage. Additionally, prominent figures like Ahmed Âlim Efendi, Ahmed Esad Efendi, Naim Kaya, and Hüseyin Köroğlu have contributed to keeping Sufi music and culture alive. This study explores the historical transformation of tariqas, tekkes, and Sufi music in Manisa and assesses the current state of this cultural heritage. Furthermore, the study delves into the historical development and cultural impact of Sufi music in Manisa and its surroundings, as well as examining the compositions and poetry of composers who continue to revive this ancient tradition today.
