Özet:

Political parties play a vital role in representing various segments of society and bringing their demands into the political arena. However, far-right parties disrupt the healthy functioning of this process with their use of hate speech, thereby undermining the deepening of democracies. Nevertheless, in recent years, far-right parties in Europe have attracted the interest of many voters with their anti-immigrant rhetoric and nationalist-populist policies, which is reflected in election results. Indeed, the 2024 European Parliament election results indicate a significant surge in support for far-right parties. Of course, many historical, political, social, and cultural reasons and accumulations contribute to this political outcome. This article examines how far-right parties justify their anti-immigrant stance and elucidates its theoretical background. This framework discusses the ideological foundations of far-right movements, including concepts such as nationalism, economic crisis, security, ethnic superiority, and cultural homogeneity, and their role in the rhetoric and policies of far-right parties. It then focuses on how these theoretical foundations manifest in practice, examining how anti-immigrant attitudes transformed into concrete policies, campaigns, and discourse across different countries. Ultimately, the article demonstrates that far-right parties use anti-immigrant sentiment as an ideological tool and reinforce it through practical policies, thereby exerting profound impacts on societal dynamics.
