 Reading the Holy Quran is considered both a worship in itself and a Muslims one-on-one conversation with Allah. In this respect, anyone who reads the Holy Quran should act with the awareness that his addressee is Allah. It is important to comply with some rules called etiquette. This situation has been discussed through individual works in literature. In addition, some works on the subject have been discussed under the headings of Etiquette of Reading the Holy Quran. The rules of Holy Quran reading, which is also included in the field of Sufism, are among the subjects studied by Sufi scholars. Sufi scholars especially focused on the thoughts and inferences regarding the esoteric dimension of the subject. In this study, the perspective and evaluations of Abu Talib al-Makki, one of the important scholars of the branch of Sufism, who gave color to the field and influenced many names in the period after him, regarding the rules of reading the Holy Quran will be examined.

 Kurân-ı Kerim tilâveti hem başlı başına bir ibadet hem de Müslümanın rabbiyle birebir konuşması olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu itibarla Kurân-ı Kerim okuyan kimsenin tilâvet esnasında muhatabının Allah olduğu şuuruyla davranması ve âdâb adı verilen birtakım kurallara riayet etmesi önem arz etmektedir. İslâmî literatürde bu durum gerek müstakil eserler vasıtasıyla gerekse bazı eserlerin meseleye dair Kurân-ı Kerim Okuma Âdâbı isimli başlıklar altında incelenmiştir. Tasavvuf sahasında da yer bulan Kurân-ı Kerim tilâvetinin edepleri, sûfî ulemânın işlediği konular arasında olup özellikle mevzunun bâtınî boyutuyla ilgili düşünce ve çıkarımlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çalışmada, tasavvuf alanının öncü isimlerinden olan ve sahaya rengini verip kendinden sonraki süreçte pek çok simaya tesir eden Ebû Tâlib el-Mekkînin Kurân-ı Kerim okuma âdâbına ilişkin bakış açısı ve değerlendirmeleri ele alınacaktır.
