Özet:

With the spread of the internet and the increase in the level of welfare, peoples expectations from political parties have begun to differ. With the divergence of expectations, new types of political parties have emerged in addition to the classical party types. In this study, the Pirate Party, one of the new types of political parties, will be examined using the case analysis method. The Pirate Party has determined issues such as the abolition of copyrights and equal and free access to the internet for everyone as its party ideology. The Pirate Party, which has achieved great influence thanks to its different ideologies, has managed to spread to more than 40 countries. He increased his votes in Sweden, Germany and France, won the mayoral election in the Czech Republic, and started to take an active role in Icelandic politics. Since it did not have a clear stance on the right-left scale and remained dependent on external events such as social reactions, it had difficulty in introducing itself to a wide voting base, and its votes decreased over time. Unlike other political parties, Pirate Party members have a sacred religion called Kopimism. In this study, the location of the Pirate Party in Sweden, where it was founded, which made a great impact around the world in a short time, is examined.
