Özet:

The interpretation Taysir al-Tayyan fi Tafsir al-Quran by Imam Badr al-Din al-Ghazi d. 984 AH is considered one of the most important works of poetic interpretation, composed in the meter of al-Rajaz in the mid-tenth century AH. It is a complete interpretation of the Holy Quran, structured in eighty thousand 80,000 verses. It remains in manuscript form and has not yet been published. I obtained a copy from the Suleymaniyeh Library in Istanbul, cataloged under number 134. This manuscript is prefaced with a table of contents on its first page, starting with the interpretation of Surah Al-Fatiha and ending with the interpretation of Surah An-Nas. Although it is regarded as one of the most significant and extensive works of poetic interpretation, it has not received serious scholarly attention, which is where this study derives its importance. This also motivated me to examine Imam Badr al-Din al-Ghazis approach to dealing with Israeli narratives. When we look at the books of interpretation, we find that each interpreter has their own methodology in handling Israeli narratives. Some mention most of these narratives with their chains of transmission without commenting on their authenticity, while others cite them with their chains and often provide commentary, mostly on those narratives that the lawgiver has permitted to be reported. There are also those who frequently transmit Israeli narratives without any criteria. Given that Israeli narratives are mentioned and cited in the poetic interpretation of Abu al-Barakat Badr al-Din al-Ghazi, we found ourselves asking: How did al-Ghazi present Israeli narratives in his interpretation, and how did he deal with them in terms of acceptance and rejection? We relied on an analytical inductive approach to address this issue and concluded with satisfactory results, including that al-Ghazi sometimes presents Israeli narratives that are detrimental to the status of the prophets and messengers without criticizing them or hastily condemning them. Instead, he merely indicates their lack of authenticity in narration without pointing out that they are Israeli narratives. If there are multiple Israeli narratives regarding the interpretation of a verse, he begins by stating the most reliable narrative according to him with certainty, then mentions the remaining narratives in a tentative manner.
