Özet:

The studys main goal is to investigate the impact of fear of missing out FoMO on workflow experience in digital environments. The link between the variables is examined using emotional events theory. The majority of the studys participants are Turkish employees. 380 valid responses were acquired using an online survey form. The acquired data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, regression, and correlation analyses. According to the findings of the study, FOMO has a low-level and negative impact on workflow experience. Furthermore, FoMO has no effect on intrinsic motivation, which is a sub-dimension of workflow experience. FoMO, on the other hand, was found to have a low-level and negative effect on the other sub-dimensions of workflow experience, namely job liking and job immersion. The study states that the fear of missing developments in digital environments negatively affects the workflow experience. In addition, the importance of individuals to develop strategies to manage this fear and to establish support mechanisms in the business environment is emphasized.aş Despite the fact that the workflow experience, which takes place in many disciplines, is one of the topics that is frequently examined in the field of Business, it is important for the contribution of the study to the literature that there is no study examining the effect of the concept of FoMO.
