Özet:

Ubay b. Qab is one of the leading figures of the companions. He is known with his service to the Quran and for being the first revelation scribe of the Prophet in Medina. Ubay received the Quran from the Prophet himself with face-to-face training and memorized the entire Quran during his time. Because of his interest in learning and memorizing the Quran, he was praised by the Prophet and was given the nickname sayyidül-kurra. In addition, Ubay is one of the Qurra Companions in the first stratum. Due to this feature,he is included in the chain of most of the recitation imams. Another feature that makes him stand out in the science of recitation is that Ubay has his own mushaf. In addition, there are readings attributed to Ubays mushaf in recitation transmissions. In this study, recitation aspects attributed to Ubay b. Qab have been examined and information has been given about the value they express in tafsir. Some of these readings express the same meaning and do not create any change in the meaning of the verse. Another part of the readings changed the meaning of the verse, provided it to be interpreted differently and added variety to its meaning. Some of his recitations, on the other hand, supported the meaning of the word in the verse, interpretations and explanations about the verse, enabling the emergence of the meaning of the verse and supporting the understanding of the verse. In addition, the relationship between the readings attributed to Ubay and the fiqh interpretations and what kind of reflections on the verse as a result of these interpretations are revealed with the examples given from the tafsir sources.

Sahabenin önde gelen şahsiyetlerinden biri Übey b. Kabdır. O, Kurâna olan hizmetiyle ve Hz. Peygamberin Medinede ilk vahiy kâtibi olmasıyla tanınmıştır. Übey, bizzat Hz. Peygamberin s.a.s kendisinden Kurânı arz yoluyla almış ve onun döneminde Kurânın tamamını ezberlemiştir.
