Özet:

Earth Ethics is a view pioneered by Aldo Leopold in the twentieth century and encompasses the obligation to respect all living organisms. It aims to recognize the rights of organic and inorganic integrity, to protect the lives of all living things in the ecological system, and to create a peaceful order in which all communities have equal rights. It draws attention to the fact that the domination of humans over other members of the land community disrupts the balance in nature. In Esra İlter Demirbileks childrens books titled Earth Team Natures Awakening and Earth Team The Secret in the Water, children called the Earth Team, who try to correct the negative consequences of human intervention in nature, struggle to prevent damage to the earth community. It is also important that mythological elements are utilized in the childrens struggle to reorganize the inner workings of nature and that Mother EarthUmay is the primary supporting character. Because Umay knows the earth since the creation narrative, is the protector of the earth community, and has the necessary knowledge, skills and equipment to restore the disrupted order. In this study, the works titled Earth Team The Awakening of Nature and Earth Team The Secret in the Water, which deal with the climate crisis, which is called climate change and climate crisis as a result of human beings not acting in accordance with earth ethics and which requires an urgent solution for the continuation of humanity, will be evaluated in the context of earth ethics by making use of the data of mythology.
