Özet:

This research examines the effects of the digital age on art production, exhibition and interaction with the audience. Since works of art are dependent on physical spaces in the traditional understanding of art, accessibility of art remains limited. However, thanks to digitalization, art has transcended spatial boundaries and moved to a global dimension. The emergence of virtual exhibitions has enabled works of art to reach audiences in different geographies, while also transforming the way art lovers interact with art. This study examines the development of digital art and the opportunities offered by virtual exhibitions through a literature review method; it evaluates how exhibition platforms facilitate the processes of exhibiting, promoting and reaching global audiences with artists works. The findings show that virtual exhibitions contribute to the democratization of art and transform the audience from a passive observer to an active participant in the art experience. The results of the research reveal that digital art and virtual exhibitions increase the accessibility of art and minimize the distance between the artist and the audience. In addition, the integration of technologies such as virtual reality VR and augmented reality AR into art is transforming works of art from being merely visual and auditory experiences to interactive and multidimensional. This transformation has led to art evolving from being a static object exhibited only in physical spaces to a dynamic process experienced through different technological tools. With the spread of digital art and virtual exhibitions, it is anticipated that the production and consumption forms of art will transform even further in the future.
