Özet:

İsmet Özel reversed the intellectual limitations of the concept of Turk with his way of thinking that evolved from the poet, communist and Muslim, each of whom nourished themselves in a holistic manner, to the competent Turk formed by searching for himself. Özels conceptualization of Turk is unique and special, beyond all definitions in the literature on the concept of Turk. His concept of Turk implies an intellectual formation shaped by a consciousness and stance beyond a sociological or ethnic identity. According to Özel, the Turk describes the integrity of being himself in his adventure of searching for himself. This study examines Özels intellectual life adventure, which evolved from the trinity of his self-searching process, poet, communist and Muslim, to Turkishness, through the concept of nevabit. The question of the study is to examine whether Özel is the nevabit of the Turkish way of thinking and style through the conceptualization of the Turk. For this purpose, it discusses whether Özels Turkishness, which is nourished by his intellectual isolation, can influence the self-renewal of Turkish thought, which has certain clichés, beliefs and opinions, by reading it in the context of the concept of nevabit.

İsmet Özel, her biri birbiriyle bütünsellik içinde beslenen şair, komünist ve Müslümandan kendini arayışla oluşan yetkin Türke evrilen düşünüş biçimiyle Türk kavramının düşünsel sınırlılığını tersyüz etmiştir.
