Özet:

İnönüs presidential period; politics, foreign policy, education, culture, religion, secularism, democracy, etc. It has been evaluated in detail in terms of many subjects and a rich literature has emerged in our country. However, in the 20th century, when systems and political movements such as Liberalism, Socialism, Social Darwinism, Fascism and Nationalism emerged and developed, eugenicism reached its peak, especially with the Second World War and Hitlers Germany. II. There are almost no academic studies on the view and attitude of İsmet İnönü, who played a critical role in World War II, towards Social Darwinism and Eugenism, which rapidly shaped world politics, and the views of the intellectuals and writers of the period on eugenic practices. In this study, the concepts of Social Darwinism and Eugenics will be told by explaining their emergence, their reflection on political thought and movements and the impact of eugenics on the Republic of Turkey in the 20th century political history will be emphasized. Subsequently, the view of the second President of the Republic of Turkey, İsmet İnönü, on Eugenicism will be evaluated and İnönüs attitude towards eugenicist-based political movements such as Fascism, Nazism and the main points of the state policy of the period will be discussed through eugenicism. As a result, the eugenic and social Darwinist influence in the state policies and social life practices of the İnönü period will be revealed and the historical course of this influence will be given. Thus, the political history and developments of the period will be better understood.
