Özet:

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to examine the online activities organized by the Tourist Guides Chamber TUREB and TUREB-affiliated chambers and the Tourist Guides Foundation TUREV to increase the professional competence of tourist guides during the coronavirus epidemic in terms of various variables and to evaluate the activity performance of the relevant institutions. Methodology: In the research, document-archive scanning technique was used as a data collection technique and secondary data sources were used. The sample of the research consists of 241 online events organized between March 2020 and April 2022, which are included in all official online platforms of the relevant chambers and the foundation. Frequency and percentage analysis were used to evaluate the detected online activities. Data visualization analysis was made to make sense of the data and concretize the outputs, and for this purpose, an interactive software, Tableau, was used. Findings: With this research The Association of Tourist Guidance TUREB and member chambers of TUREB, ADRO, GARO and MUTRO, do not organize any online events; It was determined that a total of 241 activities were carried out during the time period when the research was examined. Instagram social media accounts are used the most in the events, but twitter is the least preferred; It was determined that the most activities were held in February 2021. However, when we look at the countries in the context of destination, Turkey has been the country with the most activities. In addition, it was determined that interviews were held mostly on the provinces of Istanbul and Çanakkale in Turkey.
