Özet:

This article attempts to investigate scientific generalizations, which are descriptive (observational) ones, in the context of confirmation, and also to clarify the function and to emphasize the importance of universe of discourse (domain of existence) determined by the subject (term) of these generalizations, i.e. universal quantificational propositions of one-place predicate logic. So it will be clear that the analytic/logical/formal equivalence of two generalizations of this kind, and also naturally, as being synthetic/scientific/empirical propositions, the same truth value of them after their being interpreted, namely applied to the reality, do not make their confirming (factual) instances identical. Thereby also, it will be possible to propose a solution to the Paradox of the Ravens which is a paradox of confirmation.

Bu yazı, biliminin betimleyici (gözlemsel) genellemelerini belgeleme bağlamında irdeleyerek, bu genelleme önermelerindeki (1–li yüklemler mantığının tümel niceleme önermelerindeki) öznelerin/konuların belirlediği söylem evreni (varlık alanı) nosyonunun, belgelemedeki işlevini netleştirmek ve önemini vurgulamak amacını taşımaktadır. Böylece, bu türden iki genellemenin analitik/mantıksal/biçimsel (boş kalıpsal) eşdeğerliğinin, ve de bu eşdeğerliğin doğal bir sonucu olarak, bu kalıpların gerçeklik/varlık alanına uygulanmaları (yorumlanmaları aracılığıyla içeriklendirilmeleri) ile sentetik/bilimsel/olgusal (içerikli) önermeler olarak aynı doğruluk değerine sahip olmalarının, onları belgeleyici gözlem/olgu verilerinin aynılaşmasını zorunlu kılamayacağı açıklığa kavuşacak, bu bağlamda da, bir belgeleThis article attempts to investigate scientific generalizations, which are descriptive (observational) ones, in the context of confirmation, and also to clarify the function and to emphasize the importance of universe of discourse (domain of existence) determined by the subject (term) of these generalizations, i.e. universal quantificational propositions of one-place predicate logic.
