Özet:

In this article, the universe view of Central Asian Shamanism is examined through the shaman drum. The shamans drum is seen not only as a ritual instrument, but also as a symbol embodying the shamans cosmological understanding of the universe. The physical structure of the drum, its function and the symbols on it reflect the layered structure of the universe and the relationship that the shaman establishes with this structure. At the heart of shamanism, it is believed that the universe consists of three layers: the sky the place of gods and spirits, the earth the center of human life and the underground the ancestral spirits and the land of the unknown. The surface of the shamans drum usually represents the earth and the junction point of these layers. Its framework, on the other hand, expresses the cyclicity of the universe, a constantly moving understanding of time and space. Elements on the drum, such as symbols, animal figures, stars or spirits, symbolize parts of this cosmic order. The shaman goes into a trance through the rhythmic sound of the drum and embarks on a spiritual journey. During this journey, the sound of drums Decodes the rhythm of the universe and positions the shaman as a bridge between the cosmic layers. It has been emphasized that the sound of the shamanic drum plays a central role in communicating with spirits and maintaining balance for the individual or society. The article concludes that the shaman drum, as a microcosm, reflects the functioning of the universe and is a key to understanding the worldview of shamans. It has been argued that the shaman drum has both a physical and metaphysical meaning as a means of expressing the manifestation of the universe. Thus, the shamans drum has been studied as a symbol that comprehends the place of both nature and man in the universe in integrity.
