Özet:

The 1736-37 Ottoman-Russian and Austrian War is a series of battles spread over many fronts. The Austrian army attacked Vidin, the western side of the Danube and Bosnia through three arms. The commander of the Bosnian front, General Joseph Friedrich Hildburghausen 1702-1787, took advantage of the Ottoman Empires gathering of approximately 20,000 soldiers from Bosnia and Albania to fight the Russians, and attacked. A small number of soldiers under the command of Bosnian Governor Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha fought against the Austrians with the help of the Bosnian people and won a great victory at the end of this epic battle. First, Omer Bosnavi wrote a work describing this struggle and published this work under the name Ibrahim Muteferrika Ahval-i Gazavat-i der Diyar-i Bosna. Another author, inspired by Omer Bosnavis work, wrote a text called Tevarih-i Banaluka der Diyar-ı Bosna. Another work about the struggle in question is Banaluka Sahrasi Muharebesi, translated by Dedepashazade Osman Mazhar of Herzegovina. Since the translator did not provide any information about the translation, it was not possible to reach the original version of the Banaluka Sahrasi Muharebesi. This study aims to examine Osman Mazhars translation of Banaluka Sahrasi Muharebesi from a literary and historical perspective, and also to reveal the translation of the work into the transcription alphabet. Content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used to examine the work in question.
