Özet:

One of the basic emotions in humans, is fear. Among the kinds of fear that are triggered by many social and psychological causes, two are closely related to poets: fear of death and being forgotten atazagorafobia. These concerns, have pushed some of them to seek symbolic immortality, which fulfils their desire to live forever in the cultural memory of society. In new Turkish literature, the first poets to introduce fear of forgetfulness and symbolic immortality conceptually into poetry are Tevfik Fikret and Mehmet Âkif. The Republican poets Orhan Seyfi Orhon, Nâzım Hikmet, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Ahmet Muhip Dıranas, Orhan Veli Kanık, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca, Behçet Necatigil, Cemal Süreya, Turgut Uyar, Ümit Yaşar Oğuzcan, Gülten Akın and Sezai Karakoç have been the thematics of the fear of being forgotten with different images in their poems. In the context of symbolic immortality, he evaluated the fear of being forgotten by examining the poetry and poetry in chronological sequence. For example, only the poets who could be identified were taken into account.
