 Arts based on optical illusions have accompanied peoples daily life from ancient times to the present. It has been known for centuries that it is necessary to look at these images from a mirror or a special point of view in order to see the undistorted image hidden inside these distorted images. First of all, these anamorphic structuresillusions, which play a role in the artists display of their mastery in artistic fields such as painting, have shown their effects in intellectual and literary fields as well as in fields such as cinema, architecture, installation and sculpture. The concept of anamorphosis, which means looking awry, is almost at the center of the work of Slovaj Zizek, one of the worlds leading theorists, on psychoanalysis, philosophy and political belief. In the study, the theoretical basis of the concept of anamorphosis was discussed and its relationship with real and reality was examined. The theoretical background on how to create anamorphic images, paintings, spaces or sculptures designed and presented in different disciplines has been examined. As a result of such an examination, it is thought that anamorphic works such as painting, sculpture, installation, which are used in architecture and integrated with architecture, will bring a different color and meaning to user experiences in both public and private spaces. Although anamorphic works are physical indicators, they show that psychological, sociological and political changes are possible in the intellectual existence and perspective of human beings with the theoretical knowledge underlying them.

 Optik illüzyonlara dayalı sanatlar, eski çağlardan bugüne dek insanın günlük yaşamına eşlik etmektedir. Çarpık olan bu görüntülerin içinde saklanan çarpık olmayan görüntüyü görebilmek için bir ayna ya da özel bir bakış açısından bu görüntülere bakmak gerektiği yüzyıllardır bilinmektedir. Öncelikle, resim gibi sanatsal alanlarda sanatçıların kendi ustalıklarını sergilemelerinde rol alan bu anamorfik yapılaryanılsamalar sinema, mimarlık, enstalasyon, heykel gibi alanlara dahil olduğu gibi düşünsel ve yazınsal alanlarda da etkilerini göstermiştir. Yamuk bakmak anlamına gelen anamorfoz kavramı; dünyanın önde gelen teorisyenlerinden Slovaj Zizekin psikanaliz, felsefe ve politika inancı üzerine kurduğu çalışmalarının neredeyse merkezinde yer almaktadır. Çalışmada, anamorfoz kavramının kuramsal zemini üzerine tartışılarak gerçek ve gerçeklik ile ilişkisi irdelenmiştir. Farklı disiplinlerde tasarlanan ve ortaya konulan anamorfik görüntülerin, resimlerin, mekân ya da heykellerin nasıl yaratılabileceğine dair teorik arka plan incelenmiştir. Böyle bir inceleme sonucunda özellikle mimaride kullanılan ve mimari ile bütünleşen resim, heykel, enstalasyon gibi anamorfik eserlerin hem kamusal hem de özel alanlarda kullanıcı deneyimlerine farklı bir renk ve anlam getireceği düşünülmektedir. Anamorfik eserler her ne kadar fiziksel bir gösterge olsalar da arka planlarında yatan kuramsal bilgi ile insanın düşünsel varoluşunda ve bakış açısında psikolojik, sosyolojik, siyasi değişimlerin mümkün olabileceğini göstermektedir.
