Özet:

The early period of the Republic, when the communication network was not as developed as it is today and access to information was much more difficult and limited, was an extremely painful phase not only in the eyes of the public but also for state leaders in terms of explaining their actions to the public. Considering that the only means of communication between the public and the state were newspapers and magazines, it will be understood how essential it was to develop an alternative to this limited and restricted source. Political actors diversified this need to search for alternative sources through their travels abroad. This is because state leaders had the privilege of announcing and explaining their goals, actions and activities to the people themselves through these trips where they came into contact with the people. These trips, which were transformed into serious arenas for the propaganda of the desired revolutionactivities, also gave state leaders the opportunity to control the public and civil servants. also provided.Mustafa Kemal Pashas multifaceted travels around the country were among the trips that served this purpose, and one of them was the Çanakkale trip in 1928. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, during this trip in 1928: He made examinations on the Alphabet Revolution, visited the battlefields of Çanakkale, and had the navy carry out drills. This study, which has been prepared with reference to the Minutes of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the State Archive documents of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the national press and the literature sources covering the period, aims to analyse and reveal these aspects of Mustafa Kemal Pashas 1928 visit to Çanakkale, which was his first visit to Çanakkale as President.
