Özet:

ABSTRACT: Alevi-Bektashi music, as a musical tradition enriching the Anatolian musical culture, has an important place in Turkish folk music with its melodic structure and semantic depth. This musical reservoir was especially performed with the accompaniment of baglama and was passed down through generations. This study aims to examine the impact of advanced performative quality of baglama performance on the transmission and expansion of Alevi culture. Here the research provides a general perspective by drawing attention to the sociological and cultural changes that Anatolian Alevi music and culture went through throughout history. By revealing effects of changing living conditions in the social context on the transmission and expansion processes it provides explanatory information about the same processes in Anatolian Alevi music and culture. One of the most basic instrument of transmission for Anatolian Alevi-Bektashi thought and musical culture is the Cem Gathering ceremonies, and in the context of the subject, this study evaluates the process of cultural diffusion, the tradition of conversation, national and international events and the culture industry as a whole by giving certain examples. This study focuses on the contribution of advanced baglama performances to the expansiondissemination process of Anatolian Alevi-Bektashi musical culture in a multi-artistic environment in the context of artistic communication. Advanced performative qualities of exemplary works and performers of Alevi music culture in baglama playing are expressed on a work-by-work basis, and their contribution to the process is summarized; then the advanced performative quality in baglama is discussed in terms of performance theory. The relation between ends and means in Alevi musical culture is underlined here by explaining the advanced performative nature of baglama instrument and specifying criteria of advanced performances. As a result of an archive research, sample works and performers were carefully selected and their advanced performances in the context of this subject were examined in chronological order. The study employs qualitative research techniques such as research of primary sources, archive reserach and semi-structured interviews. The interview was conducted by the researcher on January 15, 2015. As a result, it has been revealed that advanced baglama performances of Alevi music performers increased the interest in both baglama performance and Alevi music and contributed positively to the transmission and disseminationexpansion of Anatolian Alevi music and culture through learningteaching and performing.
