 In this study, it was aimed to examine the mathematical tasks in transformation geometry in the eighth grade mathematics textbook in terms of geometric habits. The research is a qualitative research and document analysis model was used. The data of the study consisted of mathematical tasks on transformation geometry in the eighth grade mathematics textbook of a private publishing house. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The analysis was done by evaluating the sequential mathematical tasks in the textbook flow as a whole. As a result of the analysis, when the sequential mathematical tasks in the textbook were evaluated together, it was seen that they were aimed at gaining geometric habits, but the instructions in the tasks were insufficient. Throughout the book, it was concluded that reasoning by establishing relationships was the most important habit and reflecting by exploring was the least important habit. The content aimed at gaining geometric habits is more in translation and reflection. In translation and reflection with translation, it was seen that there were tasks that could not be assigned to any geometric habit of mind.

 Bu araştırmada, sekizinci sınıf matematik ders kitabındaki dönüşüm geometrisindeki matematiksel görevlerin geometrik alışkanlıklar açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırmadır, doküman incelemesi modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verilerini, özel bir yayınevine ait sekizinci sınıf matematik ders kitabındaki dönüşüm geometrisi konusundaki matematiksel görevler oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analizler, ders kitabı akışındaki ardışık matematiksel görevleri bir bütün olarak değerlendirerek yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda, ders kitabındaki ardışık matematiksel görevler birlikte değerlendirildiğinde geometrik alışkanlıkları kazandırmaya yönelik oldukları fakat görevlerdeki yönergelerin yetersiz olduğu görülmüştür. Kitap genelinde en fazla ilişki kurarak muhakeme etme, en az ise keşfederek yansıtma alışkanlığının kazandırılmaya çalışıldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Geometrik alışkanlıkları kazandırmaya yönelik içerikler, öteleme ve yansımada daha fazladır. Öteleme ve ötelemeli yansımada zihnin hiçbir geometrik alışkanlığına atanamayan görevlerin olduğu görülmüştür.
