Özet:

Although many works on aruz prosody were written in Turkish literature, these works often followed Persian and Arabic sources. In Turkish treatises on aruz prosody, theoretical innovations were not developed; instead, the emphasis was on conveying existing knowledge to the reader and teaching the practice of prosody in a practical manner. Another method of teaching aruz prosody in Turkish literature was through versified dictionaries. These works, generally written as Persian-Turkish, Arabic-Turkish bilingual, or Arabic-Persian-Turkish trilingual dictionaries, included couplets called takti at the beginning or end of each chapter, related to the aruz meter in which that chapter was written. Şâhidî, who established the tradition of writing versified dictionaries, composed his work Tuhfe-i Şâhidî with a preamble and twenty-seven chapters, providing the Turkish equivalents of one thousand four hundred Persian words. Şâhidî used a different aruz meter in each of the twenty-eight chapters of the work. In addition to the many commentaries written on Tuhfe-i Şâhidî, treatises were also written to explain the aruz meters used in this work. In this study, we examined a treatise on prosody written in 1166 AH 1752-3 AD by an author named Velî-i Âmedî, whom we believe to have been a Mevlevi, with the purpose of explaining the aruz meters used in Tuhfe-i Şâhidî. In this context, the author, title, date of writing, reason for writing, and content of the work were identified, and the aruz terms used in the work were explained according to the content of the work. Additionally, the treatise was compared with Penbe-zâde-i Erzen-i Rûmîs Risâle fil-Arûz, which was written to explain the aruz meters in Tuhfe-i Şâhidî, highlighting the similarities and differences between the two works. In the final section of the study, the transcription of the treatise was provided.

Çalışmamızda, Mevlevi olduğunu tahmin ettiğimiz Velî-i Âmidî adlı bir müellifin Tuhfe-i Şâhidîde kullanılan vezinleri izah etmek amacıyla h. 1166 m. 1752-3te yazdığı aruz risalesi incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda eserin nüsha tavsifi yapılıp yazarı, adı, yazılış tarihi, yazılış sebebi ve içeriği hakkında tespitler aktarılmış ve eserde kullanılan aruz terimleri, eserin muhtevasına bağlı kalınarak açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca risale, Penbe-zâde-i Erzen-i Rûmînin Tuhfe-i Şâhidîdeki aruz vezinlerini açıklamak amacıyla yazdığı Risâle fil-Arûzu ile karşılaştırılmış, iki eser arasındaki benzer ve farklı yönler ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise eserin çeviri yazılı metni aktarılmıştır.
