 Nowadays, it is widely accepted that education should start at a young age. By combining both young education and the impact of universities on the spread of scientific thought, Child Education, Application and Research Centers was born. The centers organize many events themed around art, culture and sports. In the research, it was examined which skills the activities carried out by Child Education, Application and Research Centers contributed to the acquisition of the Social Studies Course Curriculum. For this purpose, the Child Education, Application and Research Center working group of 27 universities, which were active between 2015 and 2020 and whose activities were shared on the website, was formed. Document review method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data obtained was revealed through content analysis. Twenty-seven skill areas, which are the basic skills of the Social Studies curriculum, are listed separately and the activities are included in whatever skill area they fall into. Activities are not recorded in a second skill area written in the nearest skill area. According to the results of the study; It has been observed that the activities of Child Education, Application and Research Centers support the most research skills among the basic skills of the Social Studies curriculum, and at least support the skills of political literacy, problem solving, stereotyping and recognizing prejudice. It was concluded that activities aimed at the ability to perceive change and continuity and the ability to empathize are limited.

 Günümüzde İnsanlığın içinden geçtiği büyük toplumsal değişim ve dönüşüm süreci, bütün dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiyede de eğitime dair arayışların, sürekli güncellenerek devam etmesine neden olmuştur. Eğitimin küçük yaşta başlaması gerektiği herkesçe kabul gören bir durumdur. Bilimin merkezinde ise Üniversiteler vardır. Hem küçük yaşta eğitim hem de üniversitelerin bilimsel düşüncenin yaygınlaşmasına olan etkisi bir araya getirilerek Çocuk Eğitimi, Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezleri doğmuştur. Diğer adı ile Çocuk Üniversiteleri bünyesinde sanat, kültür ve spor temalı pek çok etkinlik düzenlemektedir. Araştırma da Çocuk Eğitimi, Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezlerinin yapmış olduğu faaliyetlerin Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programındaki hangi becerilerin kazandırılmasına katkı sağladığı incelenmiştir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde 2015 ile 2020 yılları arasındaki aktif olan ve faaliyetleri web sayfasında paylaşılan 23 üniversitenin Çocuk Eğitimi, Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi çalışma grubunu oluşturmuştur. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden Doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analiziyle ortaya konulmuştur. Sosyal Bilgiler öğretim programı temel becerileri olan yirmi yedi beceri alanı ayrı ayrı listelenmiş yapılan faaliyetler hangi beceri alanına giriyorsa o alanda yer almıştır. Faaliyetler en yakın beceri alanına yazılmış ikinci bir beceri alanına kaydedilmemiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre; Çocuk Eğitimi, Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezlerinin faaliyetleri Sosyal Bilgiler öğretim programı temel becerilerinden en çok araştırma becerisini desteklediği, en az ise politik okuryazarlık, problem çözme ve kalıp yargı ve önyargıyı fark etme becerilerini desteklediği görülmüştür. Değişim ve sürekliliği algılama becerisi ile empaty kurma becerisine yönelik faaliyetlerin sınırlı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
