Özet:

In this study, the fertility level of olive cultivated soils in Kilis and its districts was determined. For this reason, composition, pH, EC, CaCO3, organic matter, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium analyses were carried out in 28 soil samples taken from 0-30 cm depth of the soils where oil olives are grown. According to the results obtained, the soils were slightly alkaline and salt-free, 75 of the soils were clayey, 14.3 were clay loam, 7.1 were sandy and 3.6 were loamy, 14. 3 of the soils were medium calcareous, 28.6 were high and 57.1 were very high in terms of organic matter content, 28.6 of the soils were very low, 67.8 were low and 3.6 were medium in terms of organic matter content. It was determined that 3.6 of the soils were very low, 53.6 were low, 32.1 were medium and 10.7 were good in terms of P, 3.6 of the soils were K, 50 were sufficient and 13 were excessive. In terms of Ca content, 92.8 of the soils were classified as excessive, 7.2 as very excessive, 7.2 as very low, 3.6 as low, 39.2 as sufficient and 502 as excessive in terms of Mg. Since there is limited fertilisation in these areas where olives are cultivated, the plant nutrients in the soil are decreasing over the years. As a result of the study, it was determined that plant nutrition in olive groves is insufficient and it would be appropriate to apply the required amount of plant nutrients in the periods when the needs of the plants are the highest. In addition, sustainable productivity of soils should be ensured by using fertilisers produced from natural resources together with chemical fertilisers.
