Özet:

The Qurān was revealed to inform people about right and wrong and to show them the ways to gain eternal peace through it. The Qurān performs this function with its unique styles. The parables in the Qurān, which are one of these, are not merely historical documents but have a style that provides lessons to its addressees and presents the messages to be conveyed in a striking way. The parables in the Qurān narrate events experienced by past nations and the addressees are asked to draw a lesson from these parables. One of these is the parable of the test that the prophet Job pbuh went through. While the Qurān succinctly presents the message of the parable of Job, there is detailed information on this subject in books of interpretation, such as the Israiliyyat. In fact, in the Tanakh, the holy book of Judaism, which is the source of this information, there is a lot of information that will satisfy curiosity about Job and his test, which has an independent book named after him. On the other hand, the little information in the Qurān offers a piece of information that was not mentioned in the Tanakh. This study, which compares what is told about Job in the Qurān and tafsir sources with what is said in the Jewish holy book, Tanakh, aims to reveal the similar and different aspects of the narrations and thus to determine how much of the detailed information in the tafsir sources originates from the Tanakh and is compatible with Islam. In the study, data related to the parable was compiled, classified, examined, and compared using the document analysis method. According to the results reached, Job is highlighted in the Qurān with his patience and prayers against his challenging troubles, and it is narrated that as a result, he was saved from his trouble and amply rewarded. In the Tanakh, Job has a profile that initially showed patience in the face of the calamities he experienced. When his last illness became severe, he showed his rebellion against the Creator and fate with questioning language. When he finally realized that he could not understand the wisdom in the Creators works and repented, he was forgiven, saved from his troubles, and rewarded. Although most of the Israiliyyat type narrations in the sources of interpretation are similar to those narrated in the Tanakh, they contain details that are not included there or that contradict the parable narrated there, and matters that contradict the essence of the parable, reason, logic, and the Islamic faith. Those narrations that do not comply with the Qurān and authentic narrations have not been deemed reliable.

Kurân bu işlevini kendine has üsluplarla gerçekleştirmektedir.
