Özet:

Abu Hurayra had the honour of being the Companion of the Prophet pbuh in the last years of Islam. The fact that Abu Hurayra reported so many hadiths after the death of the Prophet and that some of his narrations were scrutinised and criticized by some companions caused the attention of scholars to focus on him and his narrations. In this context, fuqaha addressed some issues, especially khabar al-wahid, through Abu Hurairah and his narrations in their works on uṣūl al-fiqh. Abu Hurayra’s competence in the branch of hadith his ability to hifz , whether he was a faqih or a pure transmitter of the narrator, played an active role in Hanafi fuqaha’ to evaluate his narrations along with the Book, Sunnah and Ijma. The Hanafi faqihs did not regard some Abu Hurairah’s narrations as legally applicable based on the grounds that Abu Hurairah was not a Faqih narrator and, for the contradicting some his narrations with qiyas. Therefore, the issue of how to make a judgment about the narrations that have no issues in their chain of authority —isnad, but which contradict with the originals/qiyas, and which method/procedure to resolve these controversies were one of the main issues of the fiqh method of Hanafi jurists. Hanafis sometimes accepted the narrations of Abu Hurayra, which were contradicting with the qiyas and also was not acted by their Salafi scholars with different interpretations and found them as “ma’mûlun bih” applicable , and sometimes they did not find them acceptable. They did not reject the narrations that have no problems of the isnad but criticized them for the spiritual cut off —inqita’ in the text/content.
