Özet:

René Guénon, who is considered the founder of the traditionalist school, is a French philosopher and mystical writer. Guénon emphasizes that traditional values have disappeared in the modern world and as a result, people live without spiritual meaning. He argues that in a world where traditions are rejected and destroyed by modernism, people must understand their roots and remain committed to their value systems. Guénon offers an approach to discovering the true meanings and essences of religious rituals and symbols. According to him, religion is linked to the experiences of our ancestors and the truths they lived through, and therefore has an inner meaning. Guénon presents an argument that all religions can be reduced to a fundamental truth, an absolute truth. According to him, it is important to focus on the inner essence of religions rather than their external appearance, and in this way one can see unity among different religions. Guénon discusses the traditional wisdom tradition and the secret knowledge it contains. According to him, although religions have emerged in different geographies and cultures, they are all expressions of moral and spiritual values that people naturally possess. According to him, humanity can only reach its true roots through a spiritual and mystical journey. Guénon argues that in order to understand a religion correctly, the esoteric dimension of that religion must be reached. Otherwise, only a superficial understanding of the religion will occur and it will not be possible to understand the real teachings. Guénon is known for his work on religious philosophy and esotericism, and remains influential today. In this study, we will focus on Guenos understanding of religion and tradition.
