Özet:

Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu published a total of 621 articles in İkdam Newspaper between 1919 and 1923, apart from the series of articles from Miss Chalfrins Album. This count is even more than the total number of Yakup Kadris articles published in other newspapers and magazines. Examining these writings chronologically and thematically shows, first of all, the most characteristic features of the artistic and intellectual life of one of the leading writers of Turkish literature, Yakup Kadri, and the changes and transformations in it. These writings are also very important in terms of drawing the psychological portrait of Yakup Kadri. Apart from these, the articles in question present the developments in the political, social and artistic life of the Turkish society during the mentioned years from the perspective of an intellectual who was concerned about his country and nation, held himself responsible for its situation and future, was well-versed in Western civilization and culture, and at the same time had a keen Turkist and nationalist side. It is full of findings, diagnoses and recommendations. Therefore, examining these writings and publishing them together with the authors other writings is extremely important for us to know Yakup Kadri from all aspects and to look at our political, social and literary history from a different perspective.
