Özet:

This research investigates the literary invocation of Islamic leader figures within the Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā Al-Aqsa Flood poetry anthology, which encapsulates the military epic of Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation in October 2023. Grounded in poetrys dual function as both an aesthetic and historical medium, the study analyzes how poets deploy the historical symbolism of Islamic leadership personas, examining the motivations behind this invocation and its role in shaping poetic discourse. The research problem arises from critical gaps in contemporary literary scholarship concerning the mechanisms and objectives underlying the deployment of Islamic leader figures as foundational constructs within poetic discourse. It further addresses the necessity of exploring how this deployment highlights the experiential contributions of poets in Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā enriching resistance literature through innovative paradigms and actively shapes collective consciousness through symbolic and narrative strategies. The significance of this research stems from the diwans value as a unique literary work containing revolutionary poems that formed an influential intellectual and literary tributary to resistance poetry. It expresses Arab poets solidarity with the valiant Palestinian resistance and reflects the contemporary events importance within the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict particularly the role of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation in revitalizing the Palestinian cause. Furthermore, the research derives its importance from the immortal heritage figures invoked by the poets and examined in this study. The study aims to examine the figure of the Islamic leader within the anthology, uncover the ideological and aesthetic motivations behind its literary invocation, determine its impact on the construction of poetic discourse, and illustrate how it contributes to building poetic narratives that link a glorious Islamic past to a defiant present. Through this approach, the research helps shape contemporary collective consciousness and redefines resistance literature as an active force capable of reconfiguring the nations trajectory. This research adopts an analytical-descriptive methodology, which enabled in-depth textual analysis and interpretation of the anthologys poems uncovering the motivations behind symbolic deployment and evaluating its impact on discourse. The study produced key findings, notably that the invocation of leadership figures operated not merely as historical recall, but as a complex mechanism linking modern resistance victories to grand Islamic epics e.g., Hattin and Yarmouk thus bolstering collective confidence in the nations capacity to reclaim its civilizational legacy and affirming the continuity of the emancipatory struggle. The study calls for increased academic and critical engagement with the anthology, advocating for its comprehensive scholarly analysis. It emphasizes poetrys capacity as an archive of collective memory to mobilize heritage as a vital intellectual and affective resource. This deployment contributes to reconfiguring collective awareness, reigniting aspirations for civilizational revival rooted in historical legacy, and supporting literary works that demonstrate the transformative potential of cultural resistance in shaping decolonial futures.
