 The manufacturing sector is one of the locomotive sectors that enable countries to realize value-added production. Therefore, sustainability of the manufacturing sector should be ensured. For this purpose, important data on the performance of sector representatives should be produced. This study analyzes the financial performance of companies in the Basic Metal Industry sector within Borsa Istanbul. In this context, companies with sales revenues of over 20 billion TL in 2023 were used as samples. Using the financial ratios of six companies in the relevant sample from 2018 to 2023, financial ratios were weighted using the ENTROPI method, and financial performance analysis was performed using the PROMETHEE II and WASPAS methods. According to the PROMETHEE II method, the company with the best financial performance is Sarkuysan Elektrolitik Bakır San. A.Ş. Although İzmir Demir Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. showed a poor financial performance between 2018-2021, it was able to rise to the first place in the last two years. The WASPAS method also yielded results similar to those of the PROMETHEE II method. However, İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş. was the company with the best financial performance on average according to the WASPAS method for the years 2018-2023. Borusan Birleşik Boru Fabrikaları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., on the other hand, showed a poor financial performance on average between 2018-2023.

 İmalat sektörü, ülkelerin katma değerli üretim gerçekleştirmelerini sağlayan lokomotif sektörlerdendir. Bu nedenle imalat sektörünün sürekliliği sağlanmalıdır. Bunun için sektör temsilcilerine firmalarının performanslarını gösteren önemli veriler üretilmelidir. Çalışmada, Borsa İstanbul bünyesindeki Ana Metal Sanayi sektöründe yer alan firmaların finansal performanslarının analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda 2023 yılında satış gelirleri 20 milyar TL üzerinde olan işletmeler örneklem olarak alınmıştır. İlgili örneklemde yer alan altı şirketin 2018-2023 yılları arasındaki finansal oranları kullanılarak ENTROPI yöntemi ile finansal oranların ağırlıklandırması yapılmış; PROMETHEE II ve WASPAS yöntemleriyle finansal performans analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. PROMETHEE II yöntemine göre en iyi finansal performansı gösteren şirket Sarkuysan Elektrolitik Bakır San. A.Ş olmuştur. İzmir Demir Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. ise 2018-2021 yılları arasında kötü bir finansal performans göstermiş olmasına rağmen son iki yıllık süreçte birinci sıraya yükselebilmiştir. WASPAS yönteminde de PROMETHEE II yöntemindekine oldukça yakın sonuçlar çıkmıştır. Ancak 2018-2023 yılları itibariyle WASPAS yöntemine göre ortalama olarak en iyi finansal performansı gösteren şirket İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş. olmuştur. Borusan Birleşik Boru Fabrikaları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. ise 2018-2023 yılları arasında ortalama olarak kötü bir finansal performans göstermiştir.
