Özet:

This study aims to assess the correlation between job stress and hedonic hunger across various professions. A total of 284 participants, comprising 170 women and 114 men, took part in the study. Professions were categorized as health personnel, soldierpolicesecurity officer, teacheracademician, managertrainer, assistant personnel, salesmarketingtransportation, engineerarchitecttechnician, and other. Job stress levels were measured using the Job Stress Scale JSS, with higher scores indicating increased stress. Hedonic hunger was evaluated using the Food Power Scale FPS and the Palatable Eating Motives Scale PEMS, with higher scores indicating heightened hedonic hunger. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 22 software. Among the participants, 31 n87 were teachersacademics, 13 n37 were healthcare personnel, and 8.1 n23 were soldiers, police officers, or security guards. The lowest overall job stress score JSS was observed in the teacheracademician group 0.710.14, whereas the highest was in the soldierpolicesecurity guard group 0.940.25 p0.05. Additionally, soldierspolicesecurity guards exhibited the lowest FPS score, while engineersarchitectstechnicians had the highest PEMS score p0.05. A negative correlation was found between JSS scores and PEMS FPS scores p0.05. Moreover, a significant negative correlation was identified between age and FPSPEMS scores. Overall, professions experiencing high job stress demonstrated lower levels of hedonic hunger.
