Özet:

This game, known as Karambol, came to Anatolia with the Spanish Jews who were expelled from Spain and Portugal between 1491 and 1497 and dispersed to North Africa, Europe and the Ottoman Empire, some by sea and some by land, but was previously played only by Jews. Over time, it was adopted and started to be played by the local people in the geography they lived in. The Karambol Game, which used to be known to be played in Izmir and some of the surrounding districts, was forgotten over time, and although the Jews left Tire, it was adopted, played and preserved by the people of Tire and has survived to this day. This game, which has endured time and stayed until today, is in a critical position and facing extinction. Carrom Game must be protected and transferred to the future, especially considering the significant changes in game culture with the development of technology.
