Özet:

In this article, the approaches of the scholars belonging to the Ibāzī school, which is said to be a moderate branch of the Khārijites and which continues to exist today, to the seven letters, one of the basic issues of the Qurān and the process of the Qurān becoming a Mushaf will be discussed. The nature and scope of the seven-letter concession, which manifested itself as the convenience granted to Muslims in the pronunciation of the words of the Quran with the spread of Islam, is still one of the issues that are still debated even today. Because there is no clear ruling on the nature of the seven letter concession in the hadiths on the subject. In this context, first of all, the prominent narrations and the views of the scholars on the issue of the seven letters will be discussed, and then, by applying the method of comparison, the approaches of the Ibāzīs to the seven letters will be given. The Holy Quran was not published while the Prophet was alive. The primary reason for this is the continuation of revelation. In this process, the Prophet was both dictating the verses that came down to him to the scribes of revelation and the Companions were memorizing these verses. However, shortly after the Prophets death, the idea of collecting the verses of the Quran came to the fore and was put into practice. The gathering of the Quranic verses during the reign of Prophet Abū Bakr and the activities of reproducing and sending the manuscripts to certain centers during the reign of Prophet Uthman are important milestones in the context of human preservation of the Quranic text. In this context, the second part of the study will include the evaluations of the Ibāzī scholars regarding the Qurāns printing activities during the reign of Prophet Uthman. Our aim in the study is to show the points of divergence or overlapping aspects of the Ibāzī scholars from the prominent qiraat conceptions.
