Özet:

The epigraphic field of historical science, as a subject close to paleography, is the study of inscriptions, more precisely, on various materials - stone, rock surfaces, clay and terracotta fired clay-based material, wood, metal, leather, bone, pottery, fabric, glass, in various ways means the scientific study of the writings. The definition of the concept of epigraphic monument, which means scratch or scratch on a stone in Greek, was mainly formed in the 30s and 50s of the 20th century. The inscriptions on these materials are a special historical and cultural heritage fund. Epigraphic inscriptions are important auxiliary sources that have a role in researching the history of settlements and obtaining information about the social composition of the local population. Although the Arabic-Persian epigraphic materials of the 12th-15th centuries of the Nakhchivan region selected as the research object are few in quantity, they are more complete and rich than the inscriptions of the later period in terms of the characteristics of the lines, the composition of the texts, the diversity of the material on which the inscriptions were engraved, and the importance of the historical facts in the texts.

Tarix elminin epiqrafika sahəsi paleoqrafiyaya yaxın bir fənn kimi, kitabələrin, daha doğrusu, müxtəlif materiallar daş, qaya səthləri, gil və terrakot bişirilmiş gil əsaslı material, ağac, metal, dəri, sümük, saxsı, parça, şüşə üzərində müxtəlif üsullarla yerinə yetirilən yazıların elmi tədqiqi deməkdir. Yunanca cızmaq, daş üzərində cızmaq mənasını verən epiqrafik abidə anlayışının tərifi əsasən XX əsrin 30-50-ci illərində formalaşmışdır. Bu materiallar üzərindəki kitabələr xüsusi tarixi və mədəni irs fondudur. Epiqrafik yazılar yaşayış məskənlərinin tarixinin araşdırılması, yerli əhalinin sosial tərkibi haqqında məlumat əldə edilməsində rolu olan mühüm köməkçi mənbələrdir. Tədqiqat obyekti kimi seçilən Naxçıvan bölgəsinin XII-XV əsrlərə aid ərəb-farsdilli epiqrafik materialları kəmiyyət etibarilə az olsa da, xətt xüsusiyyətləri, mətnlərin tərtibi, kitabələrin həkk edildiyi materialın müxtəlifliyi, mətnlərdəki tarixi faktların əhəmiyyəti baxımından sonrakı dövrün kitabələrindən daha dolğun və zəngindir.
